With our lander on the surface of Wulf 3, we were left with two choices: disable the Forge up here on the orbital and euthanize, returning to Earth where are fallback patterns are stored, or sending our patterns to the Forge down on Wulf 3.
As we didn't know what actually killed us, resulting in the Orbital's Forge receiving the "Pattern Complete" signal, we decided that I'd head down solo to perform a post mortem to establish cause of death.
We reviewed the camera feeds to ensure there were no obvious causes of death - quickly ruling out a secret murder suicide fan in the crew, and absolutely zero scary monster attacks. We all simply went to bed, fell asleep... and died. At exactly the same time...
